We are pleased to present video from the March 15th, 2016 City Council Meeting.
The meeting lasted just under three hours. The majority of the time was spent discussing and deliberating the issuance of a “special use permit” for a development plan for a small tract of property along FM 359 between first and second streets. The developer apparently wanted to bring in a commercial space that would feature an Ace Hardware, a Starbucks, and a Restaurant.
The City Council passed the special use permits with additional restrictions and requirements in an effort to satisfy the concerns of neighboring property owners. The additional requirements disappointed the developer leaving the status of the project and whether it will proceed in question.
