A message from CITY OF FULSHEAR
Good evening! This is an emergency announcement from the City of Fulshear. The City continues to monitor the flood situation along the Brazos and in an effort to prepare for the forecasted rain event this week has elevated the Emergency Operations Center Readiness to Level 2 beginning at 6 AM tomorrow morning.
Because of the projected rainfall numbers and high water levels on the creeks, bayous and other drainage facilities within the City residents should prepare for localized street flooding as our streets serve as secondary retention for drainage systems. This flooding could be prolonged and streets impassable as detention/retention facilities are at full capacity and residents should plan accordingly.
Please always be alert and aware of rising water and never attempt to drive through it. The City will provide weather updates as warranted and we urge you to follow the City’s website in addition to the City of Fulshear and Fulshear Police Facebook sites.
For more information please contact 281-346-1796. For emergencies contact 911 immediately. Thank you for your consideration and patience and please stay safe.
