The 2016 Fulshear Memorial Day Ceremony of Remembrance will be held Monday, May 30th beginning at 11am at Fulshear’s Irene Stern Community Center, 6920 Katy-Fulshear Road. The program will honor the fallen heroes of our country’s wars and pay tribute to all who have served in the United States’ armed forces.
Sponsors of the observance are the Brazos River Rotary Club, Fulshear-Simonton Lions Club and Fulshear Area Chamber of Commerce.
Special guest speakers for the program include Brigadier General Henry Ostermann, United States Army Reserve Ambassador for Texas; Veteran Charlie Blansit and his unique military experiences; and Ashley French,
chairman of Honor Flight Houston that takes aged veterans to the nation’s capitol to visit the monuments and memorials of the country’s wars and conflicts.
Special music will be provided by Nathaniel Gray, Worship and Music Pastor of Second Baptist church, and his wife Mikaela. Local Scotsman Bob Smith will also render a bagpipe performance.
The public is invited to attend.
